Dr. Avallone is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgical Residency at Community General Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Dr. Avallone also completed rotating internships at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery; Cooper Medical Center/University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Orthopaedic Traumatology; and Polyclinic Medical Center in General Orthopaedics.
Dr. Avallone is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Osteopathic Surgeons. His memberships include: American Osteopathic Association, Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics, Philadelphia County of Osteopathic Society and Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society. He is presently the National Board Examiner for the American Board of Osteopathic Medicine, and Editorial Consultant in Orthopaedic Surgery for the Journal of Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association. He serves on the Committee of Orthopaedic Surgery and on the Committee of Sports Medicine of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association and is a Membership Committee Member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics. Affiliated with the Makefield Orthopaedics Associates, Inc., in Yardley, Pennsylvania, Dr. Stollsteimer received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. He subsequently completed a fellowship in shoulder and knee surgery at the Mississippi Sports Medicine Center. Dr. Stollsteimer is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. His primary interests are in shoulder instability and rotator cuff dysfunction, as well as knee arthritis, complex knee ligament injuries and meniscus surgery. Dr. Stollsteimer is a frequent instructor at the Arthroscopy Association's Learning Center in Chicago for the advanced knee and shoulder arthroscopy courses.
Dr. Lowe was born and raised in Philadelphia with his only times out of the area for college and military service. Dr. Lowe presently resides in Bucks County. Dr. Lowe has quite an extensive educational background. In 1962, he graduated from Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, PA. Dr. Lowe received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1966. In 1970, he earned his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. From 1970 to 1972, Dr. Lowe completed his internship and general surgery training at Abington Memorial Hospital. Dr. Lowe served in the US Army Medical Corps as an orthopaedic surgeon and was honorably discharged in 1974. He then completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital in Philadelphia from 1974-1976.
For one year, Dr. Lowe studied pediatric orthopaedic surgery at Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children in Philadelphia. In 1977, Dr. Lowe entered a private orthopaedic surgery practice and has remained in the private sector since. His private practice experience has been in North East Philadelphia and Bucks County. Dr. Lowe became board certified in orthopaedic surgery in 1978. In 1981 he completed a fellowship at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and another one at the American College of Surgeons in 2001.
Dr. Lowe has 16 years of extensive clinical experience in general orthopaedic surgery, both office and surgical, including the trauma service team at Level II Regional Trauma Center in North East Philadelphia as the orthopaedic surgeon. Dr. Lowe treats patients of all ages with all types of musculoskeletal issues.
Dr Cairone grew up in Horsham, PA and attended Hatboro-Horsham High School. Majoring in biology with a minor in psychology and chemistry, he went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Lycoming College in 1995.
Dr. Cairone graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1999. He served as chief intern for his internship class of 65 members. Following his internship and residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Cairone completed a one-year spine fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Cairone holds medical licenses in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Florida. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Medical Association, Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics, American Osteopathic Association and the International Game Fish Association. Dr. Cairone is a clinical assistant professor in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
